Learning Lavender 101

Workshop Months Include: Early July- Late August

Join Lacey Ann at Bee Wise Farms for approximately 2 hours of learning about the beauty of  Lavender. We will discuss growing varieties, harvesting and uses for this wonderfully beneficial plant. At the end of the workshop, we will sit together for a growing discussion and enjoy a lavender refreshment. 

This workshop is perfect for visitors to the UP looking for connection based experiences, for those looking to get into growing small or large production lavender, or just for those looking for a new and unique experience.  

Bee Wise Farms is a fully integrated small farm that focuses on diversity and all natural production methods. We have around 300 lavender plants and four varieties of lavender growing in the U.P and always increasing. Current varieties we'll cover include: Hidcote, Phenomenal, Grosso, Munstead, Royal Velvet.   

Once workshop is purchased, we will set up a time for your visit. If you know when you want to visit the farm, please send those dates in an email to beewisefarms@gmail.com ahead of time to ensure availability. Please include your purchase/order number in the email.

Lacey has been growing Lavender for almost two decades, learning all she can about her favorite plant from the start of her growing endeavors. With experience growing Lavender from the desert of California to the far north of Michigan, Lacey hopes to increase your understand of this diverse plant to ensure successful Lavender growth for many years to comes.      

For much of the workshop you will be working outside on your own plants, with plenty of space to spread out. During you visit, we will enjoy a lavender refreshment and you will leave with a freshly harvest bundle of lavender.
